The Development of Indonesia’s Fashion

The development of Fashion Trend in Indonesia is strongly influenced by European and Asian cultures especially Korean fashion recently. Fashion in Indonesia has progressed well in history. Since the advent of Non Kawilarang and Peter Sie, in 1960, the Indonesian fashion world has shown remarkable potential and talent. In its early development Fashion Indonesia tended to imitate western style both in materials used as well as design. While others make western style designs, Edward Hutabarat and Anne Avantie dedicate their creations by designing traditional "Blus Kebaya" costumes with a modern twist. So as to make Indonesian traditional dress reborn and loved by the young so that they more appreciate the traditional art.
